FIFA World Cup is the most popular tournament of Football in the whole world. The 22nd FIFA World Cup is going to start on 20 November 2022. The host location for the 2022 FIFA World Cup is Qatar. For the first time in middle-east and for the second time in overall Asia FIFA World Cup is going to be held.

Why the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Winter?
21st FIFA World Cup was held in Russia in the summer of June and July. As we know, the usual months for FIFA were June and July but this time tournament is going to be held in Qatar therefore it is in November and December. Because the temperature raises very high in Qatar during summer. And the weather becomes completely unplayable these days. So, the organization has decided to the hold tournament this time in Winter.

2022 FIFA World Cup Schedule
The tournament is divided into basically 5 stages. The first stage is Group Stage where 32 teams will compete, the second stage is a stage known as "Round of 16" where 16 teams will compete, the third stage is the Quater-finals stage where 8 teams will compete, the third stage is Semi-Finals stage where 4 teams will compete, and the last stage is Finals stage where 2 teams will compete to become the champion of 2022 FIFA World Cup.

3. Quater-finals (4 matches)
In Quater-finals, 4 matches will be played between 8 teams. After these 4 matches, 4 teams will qualify for Semi-finals out of 8 teams. The schedule of these 8 matches is as follows :
⁃ 1 match on 9 Dec at 8:00 PM
⁃ 2 matches on 10 Dec at 12:00 AM and 8:00 AM
⁃ 1 match on 11 December at 12:00 AM
4. Semi-finals ( 2 matches)
In the Semi-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, 2 matches will be played between 4 teams. After that, from both matches, each team will qualify and compete in the finals. The schedule of the Semi-finals is as follows:
⁃ 1 match on 14 Dec at 12:00 AM
⁃ 1 match on 15 Dec at 12:00 AM
After the matches of the semi-finals, there will be a Third place play-off match. This match will be played between 2 teams on 17 December at 8:00 PM.
5. Final
After 63 matches of this long tournament, the most awaited match will be played. The match for which audience and fans are most exciting and waiting will be on 18 December 2022 at 8:00 PM. On that day, the 22nd champion team will be announced.
