Akron Zips Men's Basketball Team

      Akron Zips Men's Basketball Team also known as Zips is the team that plays basketball for the University of Akron.

The team is in Akron, Ohio. The athletic director of this team is Charles Guthrie. The colors of their uniform are White (for Home) and Blue ( for Away). This team is under the contract of "Nike" ( the most famous company of shoes). Nike has also made shoes with the theme of Zips. Some of these shoes are available in the market for the fans of Akron Zips while others are made only for sports players. 

      The first match of this team was in 1986 in the tournament of NCAA. After that, they won several titles. If we look at some titles awarded by the Mid-American Conference for the players of the Akron Zips Men's Basketball Team. According to the latest statistics, Jimmal Ball became the MAC freshman of the year (1997), Zeke Marshall was titled the MAC Defensive player of the team in both 2012 and 2013, Isaiah Johnson was titled the MAC sixth Player award in 2016, Loren Christian Jackson became the MAX Player of the year in 2020, and in the same year (2020) John Groce was awarded as MAC coach of the year.
