The 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup is the 8th tournament that is being held in Australia. This tournament had to be held in 2020 but because of covid, it was delayed. Then it was further postponed in 2021. Now, It has started and teams are performing their best. It is hosted by Australia which also won the last ICC Men's T20 World cup.

There are 12 teams from 12 different countries such as Pakistan, India, Ireland, and New Zealand. There are 2 groups of these teams. The first group includes Afghanistan, Australia, England, New Zealand, Srilanka, and Ireland, and the second group includes Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Netherlands, and Zimbabwe. Group A will play matches with the teams of their group such as Ireland vs New Zealand and Similarly group B will play matches with their group such as Pakistan vs South Africa. From both groups, 2 teams will qualify for Semi-Finals after playing 5 matches.

Kane Willia is the captain of the New Zealand team and is the Batter of his team.
Currently, New Zealand is on top in Group 1. The Team has won two matches and lost 1 match. when They played their first match of this tournament which was against Australia they won by 89 runs. They gave a target of 201. But Australia was not able to chase it and their whole team was out at 111. In this match, Devon Conway( batter of New Zealand) performed very impressively and he scored 92 runs in 58 balls. He needed only 2 scores to hit the century.
